In the home of a true wine drinker, you can always find a collection of corks. While most display their collection in a vase or a bowl, the lightweight and rot-resistant material can be used for much more.
Bulletin Board

Wine corks are excellent tools to add interest to the average bulletin board. Simply choose a frame with backing and lay your corks in any pattern. Be prepared to cut some corks down to size for fit. Secure the corks with carpenter’s glue and your board is ready for use!
If you like the way your board looks without pushpins, make a set and feature your work as art.
Cork Wreath

A cork wreath is a sustainable way to add texture and glamour to your wall or door. Cut your corks down to the same length. To add some color to the wreath, choose small bells or balls to go in between each cork. Drill a small whole (for wire) about ¼ of an inch from the top and bottom of each cork. Be sure the holes on each cork line up. Use wire to connect the bottoms of each cork and shape the corks into a circle. Leave enough wire to tie the circle closed. Do the same with the top of the corks and add the small balls or bells in between each cork. Hang your new wreath with colorful ribbon!
Place Card Holders

If you are planning a dinner party or wedding, corks are an elegant way to display name cards. Slice the cork in half to lay flat on a tabletop. Then, while carefully using a razor blade, cut a small line down the rounded side lengthwise. Place the name card inside.
Once your party is over, use the holder for pictures or your business cards.
These are just a sampling of the many ways you can reuse your wine corks. Tell us about some of your favorite wine cork projects.
